This weekend, PURE Grips Pro Matt Jones brings his talent (and his PURE Grips) to the first tournament in the FedEx Cup. Ranked 56th overall among players on the PGA tour, Matt is guaranteed to play this weekend at The Barclays and next weekend in the second event, the Deutsche Bank Championship. With the right results, he could be playing all the way to the Tour Championship at the end of September.

Now in its fourth year, the FedEx Cup has become one of the sport’s most desirable prizes. “I definitely up my preparation for the majors and [the FedEx Cup tournaments] when you play for a little something extra,” Matt said when we caught up with him earlier this week.

Going along for the ride will be PURE Grips. In fact, it’s possible that Matt’s very first set of PURE Grips will still be in use. He revealed to us he hasn’t had a need to change the grips we initially installed earlier in the season. “I haven’t had any issues with them at all,” he said and added they’re still as tacky as when he first got them. “It’s going great,” he said of the grips.
